Elisa Livanos, Ph.D., ABPP-CNBoard Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist
NYS Licensed Psychologist About MeAs a clinical neuropsychologist, it is my goal to understand the relationship between the brain and cognitive/behavioral functioning. I work with patients with a variety of neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders to help with diagnostic clarification based on the findings of a comprehensive evaluation. The evaluation incorporates information gathered from a clinical interview with the patient (and at times an accompanying family member), responses on emotional/behavioral questionnaires, and performance on standardized cognitive measures. These measures may include assessment of intellect, attention, planning, organizing, problem solving, processing speed, language skills, visuospatial functioning, learning, memory, and motor performance. I use a flexible battery approach and tailor assessments to meet the referral question. Following the evaluation, I will meet the patient in a feedback session to provide results and share recommendations to promote optimal daily functioning.
I treat all my patients with utmost respect and provide highest quality of care. Areas of clinical interest include dementia, seizure disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, ADHD, and learning disorders. Education
